Awami League Joint general secretary Abdur Rahman said,There would be some qualitative changes in politics through the upcoming AL conference. He said,’We will build an AL which is harmonious with the changes happening in Bangladesh.
Rahman also said: “through the ongoing judicious organisational process, transparent, capable and considerate people will find A place in the party.”
Abdur Rahman was initiated into politics through the Chhatra League of which he became a general secretary. He was elected MP from the Faridpur-1 seat twice.
He said: “Through the upcoming conference, the party will be reshuffled to meet the demands of the time; party will run the government and those who are MP’s will answer to the party. Also, grass root level leaders and workers will have to be valued.”
People who are widely accepted by workers should be in leadership positions, he said and added: “If a person has both party and government duty then it’s difficult to perform both tasks properly.
